About WingdingsConvert
A focused tool for inspecting and converting symbol-font mappings.
What the service does
WingdingsConvert encodes ordinary characters into portable Unicode approximations and decodes those results with an explicitly selected Wingdings family. It is a symbol-font converter, not a language translator or encryption service.
Sources and method
The converter and symbol chart use the same mappings derived from the Unicode WG2 N4363 reference table. Microsoft documentation verifies family names; no Microsoft font file or extracted glyph is hosted or redistributed.
What it does not promise
The service does not promise identical rendering on every device, identify a family automatically, host Microsoft fonts, process images or store a conversion history.
Corrections and review
Reported corrections are checked against the cited sources and verified in both conversion directions before publication. The Methodology page explains the review process; suspected errors can be reported through Contact without sharing private text.
